As a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP), I am bound by its Ethical Framework for Good Practice in counselling and psychotherapy, and am subject to the Professional Conduct Procedure.

I am a qualified counsellor who has experience of supporting clients through a wide variety of issues. I believe the quality of the therapeutic relationship is the context in which healing and growth can - and will - take place. I will not claim to be an expert in your life, or offer advice. My aim is for you to be more fully yourself, with the freedom to grow and the ability to change.

In addition to my private practice, I have worked in an NHS GP practice, St Christopher’s Hospice, Family Counselling Services and Further/ Higher Education.

Areas in which I specialise include:

  • Bereavement Counselling (1-2-1)
  • Bereavement Group facilitation
  • Understanding Trauma and PTSD
  • Child Psychology
  • Couples Counselling
  • Mindfulness Techniques
  • CBT for Person Centred Counsellors
  • Islamic Counselling
  • I am a Member of Trauma and Abuse Group (TAG)

I am bilingual and can also offer counselling sessions in Arabic.

I am especially interested in spiritual issues, how we attach meaning to our life and how our beliefs and faith impact the issues we are facing.
